The 2026 APEC China Year officially began on December 11–12 in Shenzhen.

China announced the theme “Building an Asia-Pacific Community with a Shared Future and Promoting Common Prosperity,” focusing on openness, innovation, and cooperation. Around 300 APEC-related activities will be held throughout 2026.

The year will conclude with the APEC Economic Leaders’ Informal Meeting in November 2026, Shenzhen. Key priorities include advancing trade and investment liberalization, digital economy collaboration, and green development across the Asia-Pacific region.
