China’s foreign trade continued to demonstrate strong resilience and expanding global integration in 2025, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs on January 14. China now maintains trade relations with 249 countries and regions worldwide, reflecting a deeply interconnected global footprint.
The number of trading partners with bilateral trade volumes exceeding RMB 1 trillion, 100 billion, and 10 billion rose to 14, 62, and 137 respectively, marking comprehensive growth compared with 2024. Notably, China has become a major trading partner for more than 160 countries and regions, over 20 more than in 2020.
These figures underscore China’s firm commitment to high-level opening-up, highlighting its role in promoting cooperation, shared growth, and greater certainty in the global economy.
