The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, is one of the most important traditional festivals in China. Celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar, it is traditionally a time for family reunion and appreciation. In 2026, the festival falls on September 25, with a three-day public holiday from September 25 to 27.
The festival is closely associated with the full moon, which symbolizes reunion and completeness. Families traditionally gather for dinner, admire the moon, light lanterns and share mooncakes, a traditional pastry that has become an essential part of the celebration.
At Lykwell, we value the spirit of connection and togetherness behind this traditional festival. We wish our customers and partners around the world a joyful Mid-Autumn Festival!
