China’s consumer market showcased robust vitality during the May Day holiday, with significant increases in travel and retail sales.
Nearly 1.5 billion trips were made across the country from May 1 to 5, reflecting a strong appetite for both domestic and international travel.
According to the Ministry of Commerce, sales at major retail and dining establishments saw a year-on-year rise of 6.3%.
